Currently increasing proximity to greatness

Ohm to Jeffrey

I have an ask

I have always had the habit of having my desktop completely blank. Yet, ever since I heard Steve Jobs say the words So if you’re a great person, why would you want to learn from someone that you can’t learn anything from? You know who the best leaders are? It’s the single greatest contributors that never want to be a leader, but decides they have to become the leaders because no one else is going to do a better job than them , I have been conditioning myself to steer myself towards success. That video clip sits on my desktop now. Alone. Centered.

The night breeze is chilly. I sit up thinking about a gig I am tempted to accept. It’s a project about building inventory management for businesses in Africa. I see what the founders say and I hear their words loud as waterfalls and clear as a blessed Sunday. Yet, I sigh heavily as I write my engineering planning suggestion for their project. I am yet to accept the job. This is because I understand that how you do one thing is how you do everything. I am not using my gift as best as I can.

I do not see a learning opportunity here which drives me towards building for music. It feels like a theft of purposefully used time and energy. As I stay up mulling over this, your words “just try” echo in my mind.

I would like to learn under you instead sir. Show me how to use my faith and gift to put my love into the world. I call it Ohm
